Job Description:
Business Development ManagerThe Business Development Manager
role holds full accountability for developing leading sales
strategies and execution for the company. The role will drive the
development and execution for the commercial strategy and will be
accountable for establishing sustainable growth to the business
with new and existing customers.This role will work collaboratively
with sales, marketing, customer collaboration, R&D,
procurement, and operations to penetrate and build relationships
and business strategies to bring business opportunities to the
company through innovation and solutions for Foodservice and QSR
customers.Duties and Responsibilities:Commercial P&L ownership
and delivery against key performance measures with company full
potential planDeliver on a pipeline of sustainable growth through a
deep understanding of customers and their business strategies,
their functional and technical requirements, and business review
process that drives customer intimacy (drive strong relationships
with new and existing)Develop and execute commercial strategies
through strong account planningProactive focus of pipeline
development and execution that builds margin appropriate project
pipeline for growth platformsMaintain an external customer
preference with a strong knowledge of customer needs and
preferences along with market trendsFocus on connecting new
relationships to build into new and emerging companies in the
targeted categories as determined by strategic planningEnsure
resources and actions are allocated with the correct urgency to
address customer-based issues, including competitive threats,
product and service complaints and information concernsDeep
knowledge and understanding of the food service / quick serve
restaurant industry network and partnership (co-packers,
foodservice, direct to retail, private label) to drive business
directly and indirectly across all routes to marketOwnership of
annual sales budget targetsTechnical Qualifications:Bachelor s
Degree required in with a preference in Business, Communications,
Food Science, Chemistry, or related field. MBA desirable10 plus
years progressively responsible experience in related sales,
technical, or R&D roles within a food companyExperience in B2B
sales is preferred and QSR / Fast Casual format is
requiredSkills:Strong written and verbal communication skills with
proven ability to effectively communicate to customers and all
levels within businessAbility to be persuasive and assertive while
also being collaborativeAbility to lead and influence decisions to
drive business goals and make complex decisionsStrong
organizational skills, interpersonal and leadership skillsReasoning
Ability:Initiate and planning skills and abilitiesSelf-motivated,
resourceful, creative, teachableAbility to multi-task and manage
time effectivelyAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a
variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
standardization existsMathematical Skills:Ability to work and
assist in developing and managing budgetsAbility to add, subtract,
multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimalsAbility to compute rate, ratio, and
percentageSupervisory Responsibilities:Manage and develop staff,
