Description: SUMMARY The Grant Manager will lead collaborative
efforts which equip and empower clergy to enhance children's
ministry across the Covenant Church, supporting churches with
resources that enrich children's worship and prayer experiences.
This role focuses on creating inclusive and meaningful spiritual
environments for all children, including those with disabilities.
Strengthen worship and prayer practices that reflect how children
experience and express their faith.Promote inclusivity, ensuring
worship practices are accessible to all children of all
abilities.Integrate the arts (e.g., music, visual arts, drama) to
deepen engagement in worship and prayer.Facilitate Bible
storytelling, helping children actively participate in sharing
stories of faith.Encourage worship practices that connect faith to
the daily lives of children and their families.This position will
build partnerships across mission priorities to equip churches to
foster holistic spiritual growth for children, empowering the next
generation to engage deeply with their faith. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
--- Serve as the strategic leader and custodian of the resources,
programs, and efforts deriving from the Lilly Endowment. ---
Coordinate coaching, content facilitators and cohort leads. ---
Ensure strategies and services provided are responsive to the needs
of the local church in town and country, urban and suburban areas.
--- Develop, implement, and manage multi-year strategic plan and
sustainability strategies for initiative. --- Value and nurture
relationships with partners, advocates, and others throughout the
ECC network. --- Manage the grant resources with prudent
stewardship principles. --- Produce annual report for The Lilly
Endowment that encompasses metrics and benchmarks that lead to
improvements in operations, strategies, and outcomes as required
under the grant agreements--- Recruit and engage constituents in
various advisory and service teams to live into the grant
programming initiatives. --- Oversee operations and developments to
ensure legal, regulatory and mission compliance are maintained. ---
Develop mechanisms and tools to monitor, track and measure outcomes
and outputs that foster a culture of continued improvement. Be
responsible for analyzing all data collected and orchestrating
communication to market program activities to participant. ---
Other duties as assigned. Requirements: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required: Theological master's degree. A minimum engagement of five
(5) years in the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) and a minimum of
three (3) years of functioning in ministry or leadership positions,
including experience in: local church/pastoral ministry,
ministry/team leadership. A knowledge of the ECC pastoral
community, as well as a commitment to the mission of the
Evangelical Covenant Church. PERSONAL SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS
--- Demonstrated ability to embrace a vision and pursue it
enthusiastically, a visionary strategist. --- Demonstrated ability
to enlist and manage resources --- Intercultural, cross-cultural
sensitivity and strength. --- Facilitate group presentations ---
Working knowledge of relevant Microsoft and Windows applications.
Comfortable with virtual communication tools (including video
conferencing, phone conferencing, etc.). --- Adaptability and
flexibility in leadership. --- Strong entrepreneurial,
organizational, social and communication skills. --- Influential
and effective team leader/player. --- Able to work with individuals
at all levels of organization. --- Committed to Ethical Guidelines
for Covenant Ministers in the ECC.--- Ability to maintain personal
life balance. --- Self-starter, able to work well independently.
