INC. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of
Operations to oversee the Safety, Production, Inventory/Receiving,
Maintenance, and Shipping functions at our Milwaukee, Wisconsin
plant. The Director of Operations will manage teams in a
constructive, respectful manner, consistent with AMSOIL's corporate
culture.Core Responsibilities:
- Champion safety in all aspects of work at the Milwaukee
site.
- Accountable for effective performance management and leadership
of all personnel at the site, including performance reviews,
goal-setting, production goals, disciplinary action, career
development, and succession planning.
- Administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
effectively with all hourly employees working in Production,
Warehouse, and Driver roles.
- Play a leading role in the Capital Expenditure Control System,
including capital planning, cost tracking, and ongoing monitoring
of strategy effectiveness.
- Accountable for AMSOIL quality performance through the
establishment of documented standards and fostering a culture of
quality performance throughout the site.
- Identify opportunities to increase production capacity,
optimize asset performance, and maintain operational
flexibility/agility while minimizing unnecessary costs.
- Work with the Planning Team to develop improved demand
forecasts to allow for better level-loading of personnel and
assets.
- Evaluate production schedules and labor requirements to provide
work direction, effectively balance labor resources, and provide
feedback on planning.
- Perform duties as a key member of the Emergency Response Team
and obtain training and awareness to qualify as an alternate
Qualified Individual (QI) for spill response incidents.Position
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to be insured under company
driving program.
- Experience with JDE manufacturing system or similar ERP
manufacturing system.
- Strong management skills with the ability to supervise multiple
teams.
- Analytical background with solid problem-solving
capabilities.
- Strong written and oral communications.
- Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
- Excellent conflict-resolution and decision-making
abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work
within a collaborative team environment.
- Keen attention to detail.
