DIRECTOR OF NURSING (DON), Generations at Oakton Pavillion, Des Plaines, IL

Generations at Oakton Pavillion in Des Plaines, IL, has an Opening for a Director of Nursing. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN). We seek an Inspirational Leader who is Empathetic and Organized - Someone who Sets Clear Expectations and Objectives, and can Guide, Inspire and Motivate!

This is a Full Time Role with a Salary of $135k - $145k, Plus Potential $30,000 Performance Bonus, Plus full Benefit Package, including 401k w/match, Choice of Insurance Plans, Health Savings Account, Teledoc, Opportunity for Advancement, and Much More!

Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON):

Manage the nursing department
Direct staff and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to provide physical and psychological support to the residents and their families
Supervise scheduling of sufficient staff to ensure uninterrupted service to the residents at all times
Direct involvement with interviewing and hiring potential employees
Assist in completing monthly audits of sample EMR charting Review admissions/referrals and assist in interviewing/selecting residents for admission with the Administrator's approval
Serve as chairperson of the Quality Assurance Committee and any other committees as required by existing regulations or as appointed by the Administrator
Prepare clinical nursing reports for the quarterly Quality Assurance meetings
Prepare Performance Improvement reports as required by JCAHO guidelines
Supervise the MDS/Care Plan Coordinator

Requirements:

The Successful Director of Nursing (DON) Will Bring:

Minimum two (2) years of Director of Nursing (DON) experience
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license from the State of Illinois
Clinical and supervisory experience
Previous hospital and/or skilled nursing experience
Outstanding leadership and relationship building skills
Compassion, tolerance and understanding of older adults
