Additionally, we are Fear Free certified and AAHA accredited.Position Purpose:At Dodgeville Veterinary Service in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, we are a progressive small animal practice known for executing elevated levels of medicine. Additionally, we are Fear Free certified and AAHA accredited! We are a 4-doctor practice with about twenty additional support staff of multiple certified veterinary technicians. Because of this, our doctors are never without an extra set of hands. We are a team of kind, encouraging, and highly skilled professionals ready to welcome another associate veterinarian to our one-of-a-kind group.Full and part-time positions available.About the area: Dodgeville is a beautiful place to live and visit. Governor Dodge State Park offers camping, a waterfall, lakes, and 5,000 acres of fun three miles north of the city.We are also just an hour west of the beautiful town of Madison!Essential Responsibilities:

• Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
• Interpret diagnostic results.
• Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
• Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
• Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
• Maintain patients medical records.
• Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
    • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
    • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.Benefits Offered:
