About Beatrix - River NorthBeatrix is a neighborhood coffeehouse, restaurant, and meeting place that brings together healthy and delicious menu options, in-house pastries, and signature cookies.Job SummaryWe're seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to lead our kitchen operations at Beatrix River North. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing high-volume restaurants and a strong passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all mid- and closing kitchen duties, contributing to inventory management, ordering, and controlling food and labor costs.
• Run BOH shifts, ensuring effective and efficient operations, including food prep and cooking, and supervising the kitchen, dish, and all other BOH teams.
• Lead BOH pre-shift meetings and participate in line, temp, and cooler checks, as well as food tastings for the shift.
• Purchase and order food products and supplies for the restaurant, including daily product orders.
• Ensure effective communication of food production and timing issues, needs, and special requests between front-of-house (FOH) and BOH teams.
• Partner with the GM and management team to interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise, and develop all BOH employees and teams as needed.
• Model and promote teamwork across all teams, using tact and good judgment when dealing with challenges pertaining to guests, vendors, and employees.Requirements
  • 4+ years of Executive Sous Chef experience in a full-service high-volume restaurant.
  • Ability to lead and manage the kitchen staff.Benefits
