Description:Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions is looking for a full-time Merchandiser for our Oak Creek, WI and Kenosha, WI retail locations! As the Merchandiser, you will receive, store, and distribute fresh produce from the stockroom, or storage area to fill shelves, racks, tables, or customers' orders.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Stock produce or other merchandiseUnload materials or equipmentInspect items for damage or defectsRotate product, first in, first outCheck backroom stock daily and report to store Produce Manager the need to get all product out on the display floor and report happenings to your immediate supervisorDiscuss goods or services information with customer, merchandising team, and/or sales teamAttach identification information to products, items, or containersInspect shipments to ensure correct order fulfillmentMonitor inventories of products or materialsSet up merchandise displaysRemove debris or damaged produce itemsPerform other related duties as necessary or assignedEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredForklift experience (or willingness to get certified and operate)Job Details:Job Type: Regular Full-TimeJob Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday - 8:30am to 2:30pm (approximately 30 hours per week)Salary: $19.83 per hourWork Location: Oak Creek, WI and Kenosha, WI Woodman's Food MarketTravel Requirements: Travel between Oak Creek, WI and Kenosha, WI Woodman's Food MarketRequirements:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailBasic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminologyThorough understanding of merchandising policies and proceduresGood analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventoryRepresent Alsum Farms & Produce to external customers with professionalismSelf-motivated and able to function as part of a teamAbility to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) softwareValid state motor vehicle license with acceptable motor vehicle record and proof of motor vehicle insurancePhysical and Environmental Demands:The ability to move product with a pallet jack, or by cartVarious repetitive movementsGood manual dexterity to perform required dutiesExposure to airborne particles or fumesMust be able to lift 50 pounds at timesMust wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areasAlsum BenefitsAlsum Farms & Produce offers its full-time (30 hours or more) employees:Employer contributed health planEmployer paid life insuranceVoluntary dental, life, disability, and vision insuranceOnsite fitness centerVacation and holiday payProfit sharing401(k) with company matchEmployee discountsEducational assistance programWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug Free WorkplaceCompensation details: 19.83-21.4 Hourly WagePI8612cf830b57-25660-36405201
