Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Executive Chef that will
be responsible for all aspects of Saz's Hospitality Group (SHG)
culinary success with our Restaurant, Festivals, and Catering
operations. The ideal candidate will take pride in serving as an
ambassador for SHG brands, as well as our community. As a key
leader, the Corporate Executive Chef will maintain and exceed SHG
standards, foster a positive culture and deliver The Finest guest
experiences. This is a full-time, salaried position with a
competitive wage based on experience, plus a bonus structure.
Key Responsibilities of the Corporate Executive Chef
- Oversee the culinary operations of all divisions within Saz's
Hospitality Group (SHG), including Saz's State House Restaurant,
Saz's Catering, Saz's Catering Lake Country, Sazama's Fine
Catering, Saz's Festivals
- Operate SHG kitchens with an ownership-minded approach -
continuously identifying opportunities to improve profitability,
elevate quality, and optimize systems to drive growth
- Accept feedback and direction from Ownership to ensure
alignment with business goals and overall strategic vision
- Foster a culture that adheres to the mission, vision, and core
values of SHG
- Establish, observe and uphold the highest standards of culinary
creativity, presentation, flavor and quality
- Research, develop, and standardize menu items that are cross
utilized by all divisions
- Manage sanitation and HACCP programs in all SHG divisions and
collaborate with the health department to ensure compliance
- Design and execute standard operating procedures to maintain
the highest standards of quality and consistency across
divisions
- Develop and manage budgets for all SHG culinary departments -
ensuring all are achieving targeted food and labor percentage
goals
- Stay informed on the latest trends in the restaurant and food
service industry
- Actively participate in networking and industry related
events
- Culinary degree and a minimum of 5 years culinary management
experience in high volume operations
- Must have knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health
department rules and regulations, and kitchen equipment
operation
- Experience with volume purchasing and inventory control
- ServSafe Certification Essential Job Functions
- Squat, kneel, climb ladders, or step stools as needed
- Use industrial cleaning chemicals
- Grip objects and tools (including wet or slippery items);
utilize fine motor skills
- Stand or sit up to 12 hours at a time
- Lift up to 50 lbs to chest level and up to 30 lbs overhead
- Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish is beneficial, but not
required
- Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal
skills
- Consistent, timely attendance; availability for early morning
hours, late nights, weekends, and some holidays as business volume
and responsibilities dictate
- Understanding of metric system of measurement Saz's State House
