Job Description:

Ema, a Mediterranean restaurant in Chicago's River North, is seeking a seasoned Chef de Cuisine to spearhead its kitchen operations. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the opening shift process, managing food orders, inventory, and pricing updates, as well as overseeing inspections and menu changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Manage Kitchen Operations
  
• Develop and Implement Menu Changes
  
• Oversee Food Preparation and Cooking
  
• Ensure Adequate Inventory Levels
  
• Supervise and Train Kitchen Staff
  
• Partner with General Manager to Create Prep Lists
  
• Perform Regular Line Checks
  
• Communicate Effectively with Front-of-House Staff
  
• Model Teamwork and Promote a Positive Work Environment
  
  
  Qualifications
  
  
  • 
    
  • 4+ Years of Chef de Cuisine Experience
    
  • Strong Leadership and Team Management Skills
    
  • Excellent Communication and Problem-Solving Abilities
