Job Summary:
Are you an experienced Guidewire professional with a passion for
solving complex problems and delivering high-quality solutions?
We're seeking a talented Senior Guidewire Integration Developer to
join our dynamic team. If you have extensive expertise in
PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter applications, along
with a strong background in integration and development, this is
the opportunity you've been waiting for!
In this role, you'll be responsible for developing, supporting, and
maintaining Guidewire applications, particularly PolicyCenter
Cloud, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to
ensure the success of our projects. You'll work in an Agile
environment, focusing on application configuration, integration,
performance optimization, and ensuring the highest quality software
standards.
Key Responsibilities:
PolicyCenter Cloud Expertise: Leverage your expertise in
PolicyCenter Cloud to design, configure, and integrate with
ClaimCenter and BillingCenter applications.
Application Development & Support: Take ownership of the
development, production support, and maintenance of the Guidewire
BillingCenter application, ensuring that it meets business needs
and operational requirements.
Configuration & Integration: Implement OOTB (Out-of-the-Box)
features of PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter
applications, with a focus on seamless integration with third-party
systems.
Code & Deployment Management: Utilize tools like TortoiseSVN,
GitHub, and Jenkins for version control, code commits, and
deployment processes.
Defect Management & Issue Resolution: Use defect management tools
such as JIRA and Microsoft Azure DevOps to track, manage, and
resolve issues.
SQL & Database Management: Design complex SQL queries to optimize
system performance and ensure data integrity across
applications.
Web Services Development: Develop SOAP/RESTful web services and
integrate XML, XSD, Messaging, and Plugins to streamline
communication between systems.
Agile & SDLC Process: Collaborate in an Agile environment, ensuring
adherence to project planning, estimation processes, and reviews of
test plans and cases to ensure successful delivery.
Continuous Integration & Delivery (CI/CD): Implement and maintain
CI/CD practices to automate and streamline the development
lifecycle and ensure efficient, error-free deployments.
Required Experience:
PolicyCenter Cloud Experience: Expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter
Cloud is a must.
Extensive Guidewire Experience: Proven experience in the
configuration and integration of Guidewire PC, CC, and BC
applications.
Production Support & Maintenance: Hands-on experience in the
development, production support, and maintenance of Guidewire
BillingCenter.
Version Control & Deployment Tools: Familiarity with TortoiseSVN,
GitHub, Jenkins, and other tools for code management and
deployment.
Defect Management: Proficiency with JIRA, Microsoft Azure DevOps,
or similar tools for issue tracking and resolution.
Web Services & SQL: Experience with SOAP/RESTful web services, XML,
XSD, and designing efficient SQL queries.
Project Life Cycle Expertise: Full understanding of the SDLC,
including requirement gathering, analysis, design, development,
testing, implementation, and post-production support.
CI/CD Understanding: Experience with Continuous Integration and
Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methodologies to improve development
and deployment processes.
Insurance Industry Experience: Familiarity with Property & Casualty
Insurance business processes and applications.
Desired Skills:
Performance Tuning & Database Optimization: Experience in
performance tuning and optimizing database interactions to ensure
fast and efficient system performance.
Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to lead a development team, mentor
new employees, and provide guidance on best practices and system
improvements.
Strong Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written
communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively
across teams and with stakeholders to gather and refine
requirements.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to
troubleshoot and resolve complex issues quickly while maintaining a
focus on improving processes and system performance.
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a
relevant discipline.
Proven experience in leading development teams and driving results
through collaboration.
Ability to quickly debug complex problems and provide actionable
solutions to improve system performance and functionality.
