Job Description:
OverviewStryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom
injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery,
automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding
battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve
industry-wide supply constraints.Performs machining operations and
bench work to construct, alter, and repair tools. Assists Tool and
Die Makers as needed. General maintenance and changeover of all
plastic injection molds.This is a 1st shift
openingResponsibilities
- Must embrace and follow the Core Beliefs and Values of Stryten

- Safety is our overriding priority. If an unsafe condition is
found to exist, actions must be taken immediately tocorrect the
situation to keep all team members safe and get manufacturing
equipment operational as soon as possible.
- Must be able to safely and efficiently setup and operate the
following machine tools in order to make new, repair, or alter
tooling components.
- Milling machines
- Dry and wet surface grinders
- Lathes
- Supports the production department by completing in press mold
changeovers, polishing and cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Moves injection molds around the facility as required by the
toolroom and production departments.
- Disassembly of injection molds, cleaning, changeover of
components, and reassembly of the mold when completed.
- Electrical checks of mold heaters and thermocouples.
- Water pressure checks of mold.
- Complete mold and equipment work orders using computerized CMMS
system.
- General disassembly, cleanup, repair, and reassembly of
secondary production equipment.
- Maintains housekeeping and cleanliness of the toolroom
department as instructed by management.
- Reports unsafe conditions to the Supervisor for immediate
action.
- The above list of responsibilities describes normal work, but
the Supervisor may assign this person to duties not listed when
production requirements dictate or when there is not enough work in
the regular classification to fill out the workday.
- Attend all Management meetings and training sessions, safety
committee meetings, and all employee meetings as required by upper
management.
- Follow all ISO / IATF requirements including creating and
maintaining ISO / IATF documents.
- Other responsibilities as assigned to meet the needs of the
business. Qualifications
- Must be a card holding Journeyman Machinist, or minimum of 5
years in the trade or experience.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must pass mechanical aptitude test.
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
- Must have basic understanding of injection molds and molding
operations.
- Must be able to accurately and efficiently do mathematics
including trigonometry.
- Must be able to proficiently read and understand engineering
blueprints.
- Must have welding experience.
- Must be able to safely and effectively operate basic shop
equipment including drill press, milling machines, lathes,
grinders, multimeters, and basic hand power tools.
- Good attendance and performance work history.
- Motived self-starter that can productively work alone and in
teams/groups to solve problems and get work done.
- Must have proven mechanical ability.
- Must have his/her own tools.
- Must complete a forklift driving training program.
- Must learn proper lifting skills of over 10,000 lbs. with a
forklift or crane.
- Must complete a Lock Out/Tag Out training program.
- Must have the ability and willingness to work overtime on an as
needed/required basis in order to complete work in process and
communicate with other shifts
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the
ability to prioritize with changing situations.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
to drive tasks to completion.
- Able to handle multiple priorities and work well under
pressure.
- Ability to communicate accurately and comfortably with all
levels of management.
- Must be able to efficiently and accurately read and interpret
engineering drawings.
- Motivated self-starter that can productively work alone and in
groups to solve problems.
- Proficient in English (ready, writing & verbal skills).
