Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Data Center Environmental PM for a contract position in Des Moines, IA, Red Oak, TX, Boydton, VA, Milwaukee, WI, Cheyenne, WY. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: The Data Center Environmental Program Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that data center operations adhere to environmental regulations and sustainability goals. This position involves managing environmental compliance, implementing sustainability initiatives, and collaborating with various stakeholders to minimize the environmental impact of data center activities.---

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Environmental Compliance: Ensure all data center operations comply with local, regional, and federal environmental regulations. This includes managing permits, conducting risk evaluations, and overseeing consent activities for both existing and new data centers.
Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and implement programs aimed at reducing the environmental footprint of data centers. This may involve energy efficiency projects, waste reduction strategies, and resource conservation efforts.---
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and compliance, as well as external partners and regulatory agencies, to ensure environmental objectives are met.---
Monitoring and Reporting: Establish metrics to monitor environmental performance, conduct regular audits, and report findings to senior management. Use data to drive continuous improvement in environmental practices.---
Training and Awareness: Provide guidance and training to data center staff on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices to foster a culture of environmental responsibility.---


Qualifications:

Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is typically required.---
Experience: Proven experience in environmental compliance, sustainability programs, or related areas, preferably within data center operations or similar industries.---
Skills: Strong project management abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively across diverse teams. Familiarity with environmental regulations and standards is essential.
