In this role, you will be responsible for working on a variety of projects that include both field work as well as design.Job Activities:

• Read, understand, analyze and conceptualize construction documents for implementation.
• Observe contractor work on site to ensure it complies with Project Design documents and IDOT Standards.
• Measure, Document, Calculate and Record quantities of work completed and placed in the field.
• Communicate with contractors, supervisors, other inspectors, and clients regarding project progress, status, and problems on site to facilitate successful implementation of the project.
• Prepare or modify reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits, and designs for various projects.
• Uphold FGI Safety standards in the field.Specific Requirements include:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; with a concentration in Transportation preferred.
  • 2+ years of Civil Engineering experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
